Planning your California Redwoods & Oregon Coast Elopement
5 steps to planning your Redwood and Coastal Elopement
When I think about an Elopement, I think about adventure. Here are the best tips and tricks to help you plan your adventure elopement starting in the California Redwoods and ending on the Oregon Coastline for breathtaking views during sunset.
1. Pick your date
Finding your date is important but be open to other dates around that timeframe. There are multiple things to think about besides a date you love. There is a process you have to follow for certain locations such as permits. I would pick a date you love and pick a second for a backup just in case. Things like permits can take time and if you find your perfect photographer; you may want to grab that date sooner than latter or have a backup date.
2. Find your Photographer
Finding your photographer is IMPORTANT! You will be spending the entire day with them so you want to make sure you can connect easily. You also want to pick someone who has experience in Elopements and knows how to help you plan the day or answer any questions you may have. Depending on the package you choose; your photographer can help you plan the day and little or take full control and help you plan the whole thing. A good photographer should also create a timeline for your for the day so you know how the day will go. 3. Pick your locations
Your photographer should be able to help you with this. also check the weather in that area during your preferred time so you know what to expect. As an elopement photographer; I provide a list of suggested locations for my clients depending on the area they prefer.
4. Create your timeline
Your photographer should take full control of this area giving you a detailed description of your day depending on the amount of time you booked your photographer for. Be sure to add in ample time to really enjoy your day so your not rushed.
5. Don't forget the details
DO THE THINGS! set up the private reception area on the beach, Go to that second location or third. Pop the bottle of champaign or end the evening jumping into the water. YOUR DAY IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT and if you want EPIC photos then you got to do unique and epic things to allow your photographer to capture the things. Communicate with your photographer and then give them the time to spend with you to create together!
