MT. Ashland Elopement/Wedding With Dezerae Jobe Photography
Stacey + Roland really created their Unforgettable, Truly Meaningful, and Intimate Wedding Day by Eloping at the Top of Mt. Ashland with some of their most loved ones.
I captured their engagement session last year on their home property outside the Grants Pass area with their adorable donkeys. I loved every second of hearing their love story and being able to capture their love for each other. As I captured their session, It reminded me of two high school kids falling in love for the first time as they laughed, joked with each other and truly were patient and thoughtful of each other the whole time. From that day, Stacey & I have been chatting about capturing their big day and I knew it was going be amazing to capture these two again. Stacey was 100% sure she wanted to have a very intimate & meaningful Elopement in the snow and possibly a reception with her family and friends, but with Covid always changing plans things changed just a little.
Stacey & Roland decided their location of Mt. Ashland and the plans started to take shape. We then met at Mt. Ashland a few weeks beforehand to adventure around the mountain & scout the perfect location in that area. The possibilities are endless up there and as we navigated the area, they found "THAT" spot with an amazing view. On their big day, their Elopement was everything I imagined with these two. It was emotional, Heart felt, and so intimate as they shared this moment with a few of their loved ones for the emotional ceremony. After the Ceremony, We started the adventure and I captured them in the moment & really soaking in their day together. They exchanged words with just the two of them and I gave them space and captured this part from a distance so they could really enjoy that moment alone and soak in the words the other spoke. Everyone up there snowboarding and sledding were so respectful in allowing them to have that moment. As we strolled around the mountain people were complimenting them with such kind words and at one moment, Stacey looked at me and said, " I HAVE NEVER FELT SO BEAUTIFUL". (These are the moments that make my WHY of being a photographer.) The day was dreamy all the way around and by having an intimate wedding/ Elopement day it really allowed them to soak in every moment that day had in store for them. It defined the meaning of a wedding day by making it truly meaningful & Specific to just them.
